Announcing: Our B Corporation Certification

By Lyn Wineman   We’re proud to announce that KidGlov has officially become a Certified B Corporation (only the fifth to do so in the state of Nebraska)! This day has been a long time coming. And it began a few years ago, when one of our creative directors, Kelley Peterson , wrote an article on the three things at the core of purpose-driven business. My friend Barb Bartle from Lincoln Community Foundation read the article and suggested I meet Graham Pansing Brooks , and Kyle Cartwright , who were just forming SEAchange .  During that meeting, we had a great, idealistic conversation. We talked about conscious capitalism, social impact, using business as a force for good – all things that are really fun to talk about. The conversation was great, and we felt energized. Graham and Kyle introduced us to the idea of becoming a Certified B Corporation. And honestly, here’s a secret: I told them, “You know, that all sounds well and good, but I’m a really busy entrepreneur. There

Maximize the Value of Video in Healthcare Marketing

By Lisa Bowen In the healthcare industry, it’s important to be able to measure your ROI to continue to get the budget you need. However, when the numbers are down, patient volumes are low, and the census is not where you want it to be, the marketing budget’s the first thing that gets cut. Yet that’s when you need marketing the most.  As you’re beginning to think about your 2022 marketing plan and the budget, you’ll need to help support it, I want to talk about one tactic that’s super important to include — video. There are some great statistics out there that show the increasing value of video in your marketing efforts. By 2022, online videos will make up more than 82% of all consumer internet traffic. That’s 15 times higher than it was just in 2017. A third of online activity is spent watching videos.  The use of video marketing is important in any industry, but in healthcare where you’re trying to build trust, set yourselves apart as the expert, and differentiate yourself between

3 Ways to Give Your Giving Tuesday a Board Boost

Image
By Kelley Peterson  Here’s the deal…the countdown is on! There’s only 30ish more days to promote Giving Tuesday! This special day happens each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, like on November 30, 2021. Giving Tuesday began in 2012 through a partnership of New York’s 92 nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation. Since then, Giving Tuesday has become the perfect day for nonprofits to highlight their mission, solicit donations and gain new supporters.  In 2020, Giving Tuesday raised a record $2.47 billion in the U.S. – a whopping 25% increase from the previous year. My fingers are crossed for another record-breaking year but, with just a few weeks before the single biggest fundraising day of the year, now is the time to call in reinforcements. Most likely your board is full of local influencers you can use to your fundraising advantage by engaging them in your Giving Tuesday multi-channel promotional efforts.    Here are 3 Ways to Boost Your Giving Tuesday Efforts:  1.
